Umar Kimel Presbery, 29 of no known address, was found in a stolen white 2001 Subaru in Harrisburg around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, state troopers explained.
He is accused the stealing the vehicle from Greenwich Township around 5:30 a.m, PSP stated in a previous release.
This was a vehicle swap for him, as he allegedly stole a GMC from a driveway but had abandoned it in Weisenberg Township, Lehigh County around 4:30 a.m., troopers explained in yet another release, as Daily Voice previously reported.
He has been charged with a felony for receiving stolen property in Dauphin County in addition to the following charges in Tinicum Township, Delaware County in connection with a stabbing that sent a man to the hospital area police told The Morning Call:
- Homicide criminal attempt - murder of the first degree.
- Felony aggravated assault - attempts to cause serious bodily injuries or causes injury with extreme indifference.
- Felony aggravated assault - attempts to cause or causes bodily injury with a deadly weapon.
- Misdemeanor recklessly endangering another person.
- Misdemeanor possession of an instrument of crime with intent.
- Felony robbery of motor vehicle.
- Felony theft by unlawful taking of movable property.
He has been held in the Dauphin County Prison on $20,000 in bail as set by Magisterial District Judge James A. Lenker during his preliminary hearing in night court at 9:25 p.m. on Jan. 2, his latest court docket shows. His preliminary hearing has been set before Magisterial District Judge J. Matthew Pianka at 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 17.
It is unclear when he will be extradited to Delaware County to face the charges in connection with the attempted murder.
